Speak Up School and District Spotlight: Klein ISD, TX

Happy Thursday! Each week during the Speak Up survey period we will feature participating schools and districts who have gone above and beyond in promoting the survey within their communities. Follow our Speak Up School and District Spotlight series for ideas on how to spread the word about Speak Up to your students, parents, teachers, and community!

Klein ISD has been our #1 Speak Up district for several years - last year, the Texas based district brought in over 30,000 surveys! Yesterday, Klein ISD's awesome Speak Up contact, Mark Evans, met with Jennifer Bergland (TCEA) about why and how his district uses Speak Up, as well as how he and his team promote the survey to over 45,000 students. One great point Mark makes is that the Speak Up survey can be an asset to newer and smaller schools and districts by serving as a guide for which questions they should ask when creating their school/district plans. Thanks Mark and Klein ISD for your longstanding support of Speak Up! Check out the full Google Hangout recording above.

There are only two and a half weeks left to Speak Up! With Speak Up America taking place next week - with plenty of opportunities to win free 2016 conference registrations and classroom/school grants - now is the perfect time to kick your participation and promotion into high gear! Visit our Speak Up America page and our promotional materials page to learn more.

How is your school or district Speaking Up and spreading the word? Let us know by contacting Lisa Chu at LChu@tomorrow.org. Check back next week to see the next featured school/district!
